Dr Astha Sharma is currently working at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies .She was conferred with PhD in the year 2014 and her research interests include Entrepreneurship & Small Family Business. She has attended Executive Education Program at IIM Bangalore. Her teaching interests are Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior. Her research interests are extensive including Entrepreneurial Orientation, Family Business, Succession issues in Family firms and Strategic Marketing. She also serves as a Reviewer and Editor for many National and International Journals.

She is an educator, counselor, author, member of professional bodies, trainer and consultant in the field of management since almost 16 years. She is adaptable and has an exposure in teaching and administration at different places of India including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. . She has got her papers published in journals of international repute, some of them can be found in EBSCO & PROQUEST, SSRN etc. Her work on Entrepreneurship is cited by various research scholars of India and abroad. All her national publications are with ISSN and contribute a lot to the growth of management, building new insights/perspective towards existing piece of study. She has authored a book on-“Issues and Challenges of Small Family Businesses”.

She is a persistent learner and puts lot of efforts to learn new techniques of teaching and training, in such an endeavour to hone her skills she has attended Faculty development programmes organized by EDII-Ahmadabad, CITCON and CII etc. Her research work has been appreciated at national and international conferences of NIRMA Ahmadabad, NITTTR- Chandigarh, SKPIM, Gandhinagar Gujarat,RAICON-New Delhi etc. She is constantly striving to contribute to the field of management.”Board of studies member of various autonomous institutions and universities.
